5 - Conclusion

Another way of scanning for font matches is to use the GUI_GetFont() command, which is passed a height and style value, and returns a font pointer. However, care must be used to check the return value, since the documentation on it states that exact matches are needed, or a zero value is returned. The sole exception is if the CTRL_NORMAL value is passed, in which case a near match is attempted.

Although there is apparently going to be no more font groups produced directly by Franklin, what we have should provide a lot of variety for some time. A later article will touch on font design, and how to create individual FONT structures for your own programs. In the meantime, the dialog and the packaged font options should give programmers a good selection to choose from, and help enhance their software.
